Driving is something most of us do in our lives. Being able to drive as an adult is a great way to gain independence and it is something that can make a positive impact on our lives. However as with anything, there are always issues we face on the road as drivers, and today we are going to take a look at some of the most common ones which you will come up against when driving.
People don't indicate
As you may have noticed already, some drivers don't seem to know where their indicators are. This is a common annoyance and it means that there will be times when cars suddenly break and turn in front of you without much warning. It always best for you to stay alert on the road and be ready to slow down if someone suddenly does this.
Parking
One of the biggest annoyances of driving a car is parking. It's an annoyance for several reasons, the first of those being the struggle to find a parking space when you need one. It may even require you to sign up with a service like
Parkingaccess.com for certain trips just to guarantee it. As well as this, the parking skills of some of the people around you leave a lot to be desired and you'll likely see some terrible parking in your time which may even prevent you parking yourself.
Full beam at night
When driving in the dark, it is important for us to use a light source so that we can see where we are going on the road and so that others know we are approaching. When driving at night, the general rule is to use dipped headlights that point to the road and light the way. However, some people don't do this and they use their full beam. There's nothing worse than driving on the road at night and coming face to face with full beam lights!
The overtaking race
There will be times when driving on wide country roads where someone is driving far too slow. In this case, the normal practice is to overtake the car and carry on with your journey. However, one of the biggest annoyances which can be seen in this is the driver in front of you speeding up as you begin to overtake. Not only is this dangerous as it forces you to drive on the wrong side of the road for longer, but it is also ignorant and childish.
Slow drivers
We should never speed when on the road as it is dangerous and can endanger everyone around us, however,
speed limits are there for a reason and it is also important not to drive too slowly. Driving slowly is something that can be a huge annoyance on the road, especially if you have plans and need to get from A to B quickly! Some older drivers tend to drive more slowly than others and this can hold up traffic and also create serious congestion and road rage.
